Hey folks, I've been wondering how private are the chats we have with ChatGPT when shared on Reddit? I know some platforms keep data super tight, but with Reddit being public, I'm curious about the details. Anyone got experience or know how it works exactly? Would love some insights!

Just to add, don’t forget about Reddit’s data policies and your own local laws when sharing AI content. Always good to be aware.
Honestly, I think most folks just don’t realize that once it’s on Reddit, it’s out there forever unless you control the post. No special privacy just because it’s an AI chat.
I was kinda worried about this too. Like, does Reddit scan or store what you share? Or could mods access it differently? Anyone knows?
I’m curious if Reddit bots scrape ChatGPT content differently? Like do they tag AI conversations or treat them specially?
Not sure if this helps, but you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools related to AI chats and privacy. They sometimes discuss how data is handled.
In my opinion, if privacy is super important, don’t put your AI convos anywhere online, not even Reddit. Save and share only with trusted people.
Anyone here tried deleting their Reddit post with ChatGPT convo? Does it get erased from Reddit servers or cached somewhere?
Wait, does OpenAI use our ChatGPT conversations for training? If so, then even if we dont post on Reddit, maybe our chats aren't fully private?
Does anyone use private subreddits to share AI chats? Wonder if that adds any real privacy layer?
I saw some people mention on other subs that AI conversations can be 'leaked' if your Reddit account is hacked, so keeping your Reddit secure is also important!
Honestly, I think it's best to avoid sharing sensitive info in ChatGPT conversations if you plan to post them anywhere public like Reddit. You never know who might see or save it.
From what I gather, if you post your ChatGPT convo on Reddit, it's basically public, so no privacy there. But the chats you have with ChatGPT itself aren't shared unless you post them yourself.
