Hey folks, I've been wondering if it's cool to share my ChatGPT subscription with my family? Like, can multiple people use the same plan or nah? Would love to hear your experiences or any info you got. Thanks!

Honestly, I’d just recommend getting individual accounts if possible. Sharing might mess up your usage or data privacy.
I think OpenAI's terms usually say the subscription is for personal use, so sharing might be kinda against the rules. But idk, lots of folks do it with their fam without issues.
My family just uses my login and it works fine, but sometimes we get interrupted if two people try to use it at once.
Make sure if you share, you trust the people with your account info, cause otherwise it’s kinda risky.
I guess it depends on how strict you want to be about the rules. Some people share all the time, others keep it separate.
I shared mine with my brother last month, no warnings or anything yet. But don’t quote me on that, might change anytime!
Sometimes sharing can cause confusion with billing or security, so heads up on that if you do it.
If you want to share, maybe the best way is to create a shared family account with a single login instead of everyone having their own.
I just use ChatGPT free version on multiple devices, but if you want the benefits of subscription, sharing sounds tempting!
Is there any official word from OpenAI about family plans? I can’t find anything clear.
Honestly, it’s easier to just gift subscriptions individually during holidays than try to share one.
