Hey folks! I've been wondering if it's possible to send images directly to ChatGPT for analysis or discussion. Anyone tried this or know if it's even supported yet? Would love to hear how you use images in chats here if at all. Thanks!

In the meantime, describing your image as clearly as possible might get you useful help.
Honestly, I think the AI is mostly geared towards text, so sending images might be out of scope for now.
I tried sending images to ChatGPT and it just ignored them. So no direct image input yet.
Hope the devs add image support soon, would really expand what we can do here.
I tried uploading pics once, but it just ignored them. So no, it cant really process images yet.
You can use OCR tools to extract text from images then paste that into ChatGPT for analysis.
Not sure if anyone else mentioned, but you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools that might have image inputs!
Would love to see ChatGPT analyze memes or comics directly, that would be fun.
Meanwhile, anyone got tips on good AI image analyzers?
For now, it's all text mainly. But who knows? Tech moves fast!
Would be cool if we could send photos of homework problems and get help!
You might wanna check some forums or blogs about GPT-4 image features, sometimes devs post sneak peeks.
Tried a bunch of ways but no dice with images, so I just stick to text questions.
I use screenshots but upload them to other AI services to get text extracted, then feed that to ChatGPT.
I feel like they might add images as input someday, but my guess is it'll be limited and with privacy concerns.
I heard some versions like GPT-4 can handle images? Not sure if it's available to everyone tho.
Would be great if we could get explanations about pictures or drawings directly in the chat.
Why not just describe your image in words to ChatGPT? Sometimes that works surprisingly well.
If you want image analysis, there are other AI tools dedicated to that. ChatGPT is more about chatting and text generation.
Most chatbots still struggle with images, so ChatGPT not handling them isn’t surprising.
As far as I know, ChatGPT doesn't support image inputs right now, only text. Kinda limiting but maybe they'll add it later.
I think the best way is waiting for official updates on GPT versions with image support.
I guess for now ChatGPT is just text-based, but the tech landscape is always evolving.
I think the main reason is that ChatGPT was designed for language tasks, not visual data.
Maybe future updates will let us just drag and drop pics in the chat, fingers crossed!
