I think sometimes people underestimate how much background knowledge you need to effectively use ChatGPT for deep research.
I find that sometimes it’s better to combine ChatGPT with other AI tools for faster and deeper insights.
I get distracted easily so sometimes the research drags on way longer than it should lol.
From my experience, a quick lookup might take a few mins but a full deep dive can take hours or even days if you want solid info.
I find it helpful to set specific goals for each research session so I don’t get overwhelmed or waste time.
I've noticed sometimes the AI can get stuck or start giving circular answers which can slow down the process.
ChatGPT is great but sometimes the info can be kinda generic or surface level.
Anyone else tried using ChatGPT for long-term projects? How do you keep track of info and not get lost?
I think you can speed up research a lot but you gotta balance speed with accuracy. Always double-check what you get.
Does anyone keep logs or summaries of their ChatGPT research sessions? Wonder if there’s a good way to organize it.
Also, more complex topics with lots of nuance will obviously take longer than simple factual stuff.
Good question! My guess is that it varies but I’d say a quick overview might be under 10 mins, but deep stuff probably takes hours at least.
Sometimes you have to just ask ChatGPT for summaries and then go deeper manually after.
I think if you have a clear question, ChatGPT can speed things up a ton. But for really deep stuff you can't rush it, gotta give it some time and effort.
Sometimes I catch ChatGPT giving outdated info, so double check the dates!
Honestly, getting the best out of ChatGPT for research is kinda a skill on its own, takes practice.
In my opinion, a real deep research effort takes at least a couple of sessions with ChatGPT plus manual checks.
I’ve used ChatGPT for academic stuff, but it’s more like a helper than a replacement for actual studying.
Honestly, it depends a lot on the topic complexity. For some stuff, ChatGPT spits out useful info quickly but deeper dives can take longer since you gotta verify and cross-check.
