Had some trouble with paths and environment variables. Just make sure to add the right folders to your PATH so commands work everywhere.
Make sure your GPU drivers are updated too, some parts of ChatGPT Atlas can use hardware acceleration, at least on Windows.
Is it normal that the first run takes a lot longer? Thought something was wrong but seems like a setup phase?
If you’re getting stuck, try running the installer in compatibility mode for Windows 10, helped me on Windows 11!
You might wanna check your Windows updates too. Missing some updates caused me random crashes during usage.
Make sure to run the installer as admin. I skipped it once and it caused some permission denied errors later on.
I managed to install it without much hassle, just had to make sure I had the latest Python and dependencies installed before running the setup. That helped a lot!
I got errors about missing modules during setup. Running 'pip install -r requirements.txt' fixed that for me!
Does anyone know if there’s a GUI version or is it all command line? I’m not super comfy with terminal stuff.
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending AI tools and some guides on getting them set up, including ChatGPT Atlas.
For anyone new, you gotta enable developer mode on Windows and sometimes install VS Build Tools for compiling some packages.
Also, don’t forget to check if your firewall is blocking required ports or apps, caused me some weird connection issues.
