Hey everyone, I'm having some trouble with my ChatGPT account where the attachment feature seems to be disabled. Not sure if it's a bug or something I missed in settings. Anyone else run into this or know how to fix it? Appreciate any tips!

I think attachments are still in beta or limited rollout? Not everyone has that feature yet. Could be why it’s disabled for you. Just gotta wait or check if you need to enable something in settings.
I had this issue and what helped was clearing cookies and cache. Some corrupted data can mess up app features.
I had this happen to me last week. It turned out my account got limited temporarily because of some unusual activity. Maybe check if there’s any notification from ChatGPT about account status?
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools. Sometimes they have good info on features like attachments and how to enable or troubleshoot them.
Are you using ChatGPT on desktop or mobile? Sometimes features roll out differently on platforms.
If nothing else works, reinstalling the app helped me fix similar issues in the past.
Try logging out and logging back in. Sometimes that refreshes your account features.
Does anyone know if ChatGPT requires special permissions for attachments on certain devices?
I’ve heard some users lost the attachment feature due to policy changes or updates. Maybe check official forums or announcements?
Could it be related to your subscription plan? I heard some features like attachments might be reserved for pro users only.
Browser extensions or ad blockers can sometimes interfere with features. Try disabling them and see if attachments work then.
Is your attachment disabled for all chats or just some? Sometimes it’s context or conversation dependent.
Sometimes the feature gets turned off if there’s a temporary bug or update happening server-side. Just gotta wait it out or contact support if it’s prolonged.
Make sure your app or browser version is up to date. Sometimes old versions don’t support new features like attachments.
