I tried a few AI code explorers but found they sometimes give too generic info. Still, better than nothing for sure.
Has anyone tried AI chatbots for onboarding? Like, you ask questions about the code and it answers based on the repo?
Totally agree, onboarding in big projects is such a pain. I've seen some AI assistants that analyze the code and create summaries, which really help newbies understand the big picture quicker.
One cool thing I noticed is AI tools that generate onboarding docs automatically based on the code. Saves the team from writing endless docs.
