I tried the AI features but it was kinda overwhelming to set up. Wish there was a simpler way to just get it running without messing with configs all day.
I think if you want a good AI experience, you gotta be prepared to tinker a bit. It’s not plug and play, but once you get it right, it’s worth it.
For those just starting, I’d say focus on installing the core AI plugin first before trying to customize too much. Get the basics working smooth first!
I wish the user interface for AI features in Blue Iris was a bit friendlier though. Could use some UX improvements for sure.
Does anyone know if Blue Iris works with custom AI models? Like can I plug in my own trained stuff?
Been using Blue Iris AI to monitor my backyard and it’s pretty good with recognizing people vs animals. Got fewer false notifications since I switched on AI.
Blue Iris plus AI is kinda the future for home security, no doubt. The way it filters out false alarms is just next level.
Blue Iris AI tools really helped me identify packages and distinguish people from animals or cars passing by. Cuts down useless notifications big time.
Just a heads up, you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending AI tools that integrate well with Blue Iris. Found some neat stuff there!
Is anyone else using Blue Iris AI for license plate reading? Trying to figure out the best settings for it.
I started using the AI plugins with Blue Iris a month ago and honestly, it’s a game changer for detecting actual threats instead of just motion. Saves me a lot of false alerts.
Make sure your PC can handle the AI workload, cause Blue Iris with AI can be pretty resource-heavy. Had to upgrade my rig to keep it smooth.
Sometimes the AI misses stuff if the camera angle is not perfect. So don’t rely only on AI, still check your videos manually if you suspect something.
