I tried uploading an audio file once and it just didn’t work. So yeah, seems like text input only for now.
Does anyone know if ChatGPT can analyze audio beyond just transcription? Like sentiment or speaker ID?
I’ve tried feeding audio transcripts into ChatGPT but never the actual audio files. Not sure if it can handle raw audio directly yet.
Honestly, I think ChatGPT’s strength is in text. Audio and video processing is kinda a different beast and needs specialized tools.
I heard ChatGPT itself doesn’t process audio but there are new plugins and other AI tools that can convert audio to text and then plug that into ChatGPT.

Been using some apps that convert voice notes to text then use ChatGPT for editing. Works pretty well together.
If you want to analyze audio, you might wanna look into other AI like Whisper by OpenAI. It’s designed specifically for audio transcription.
