Using ChatGPT for job searching made the whole process less stressful for me. Having a virtual assistant to bounce ideas off with was nice.
I tried asking it for interview prep questions and it gave some decent stuff. Not perfect, but better than Googling random lists imo.
I wish it could browse the internet in real time to find the latest job openings though.
I tried it and sometimes the advice feels too generic. Like, I wanna stand out not sound like everyone else!
I feel like AI tools can help, but they can't do the networking part for you. That’s still all on you.
I think it’s a cool tool but should never replace actual human feedback from mentors or friends.
If you’re applying for tech jobs, you can get help from ChatGPT on coding challenges too. It explains stuff pretty well.
I found that it can help draft answers for behavioral interview questions too. Just gotta customize them well.
Overall, it's a handy sidekick but still gotta hustle and hit up real people as well.
ChatGPT helped me prep answers and boosted my confidence big time before the big interview.
Don’t forget it’s just a helper tool. You gotta put in the work too, no magic button to get a job!
It’s crazy how much it can generate on the fly. Just gotta be careful not to sound like a robot in your applications.
You can also use it to learn new skills or get career advice tailored to your goals, not just job apps.
Honestly, I used ChatGPT to polish my resume and it turned out way better than my original draft. Got more callbacks after that for sure.
Anyone else tried using it to find actual job listings? I wasn’t sure if it could help with that directly.
Lol I asked it to write me a resume in a funny tone and my mates got a kick outta it. Not super practical but fun!
I think it’s great for people who get stuck staring at a blank page. It helps kickstart your thinking.
Does anyone know if it can help tailor resumes for different industries? Like switching from retail to admin roles?
ChatGPT helped me figure out how to explain gaps in my resume without sounding weird.
Not gonna lie, I was skeptical at first but it actually helped me write a pretty solid cover letter that got me an interview invite.
I’m planning to try it for networking email drafts next. Hoping it’ll make that less awkward.
I’m still not convinced it can replace a real career coach, but for quick tips and ideas it’s cool.
After using ChatGPT for a bit I found out you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools that might help you with job hunting. It's got some neat stuff!
Some people might rely on it too much and lose their own voice. Gotta balance it out!
Make sure to fact-check anything it suggests though, sometimes it can mess up details.
The best part for me was how quickly it could generate multiple resume versions for different roles.
I used it to draft emails to recruiters and saved myself from making a bunch of awkward typos lol.
