Hey all, I've been wondering if there's a simple way to make ChatGPT forget what we talked about earlier in the same session. Sometimes it feels like it remembers too much and messes up the flow. Anyone got tips or tricks to reset it without starting a new chat? Thanks!

Yeah, I think the best way is to just start a new conversation window or tab. That way it doesn't have any past context to work with.
I tried typing something like 'forget previous messages' but it doesn't actually work since the model keeps all the context internally during the session.
You can also clear your browser cookies or cache, but that’s a bit overkill and doesn’t guarantee the chat itself forgets the convo in current session.
Honestly, just closing the tab and reopening ChatGPT is the easiest way. No need to mess with settings or anything.
I've heard some folks mention you can ask ChatGPT to pretend it forgot stuff but it's not reliable. The AI still uses previous context till you start fresh.
If anyone’s hunting for new or trending AI tools that might have better session controls, you might wanna check out ai-u.com. They list a bunch and sometimes have stuff that includes better privacy features.
