Building a Link-in-Bio platform from scratch (thugg. lol). Looking for feedback and contributors

I am currently in the process of developing thugg.lol, a Link-in-Bio platform that aligns with the style of sites like guns.lol and feds.lol but is entirely built from the ground up. Unlike many other platforms that rely on SaaS templates, boilerplates, or third-party profile engines, this project employs a fully custom-built backend API, database schema, authentication system, analytics, payments, integrations, and profile rendering logic. This approach ensures full control over the platform’s functionalities and extensibility. The project is still in its minimum viable product (MVP) phase, where the user interface prioritizes simplicity and functionality. A comprehensive UX/UI redesign is planned once the core technical infrastructure and architecture have been validated. At this point, the platform already supports several key features. Users can create public profiles with personalized pages, and the system tracks link performance through metrics such as views, clicks, and tokens. A flexible template system allows users to manage and customize their profiles with options like usage tracking, favorites, visibility controls, and premium-only templates. The platform includes robust session management and authentication workflows, alongside integrated payment processing and logic for premium access. There are also invite and referral mechanics, a badge system to engage users, and SEO optimizations including profile metadata. The platform’s integration layer supports connections to external services, while analytics cover detailed data points such as profile views, link clicks, IP hashes, and user agent details. The architecture and database design have been intentionally crafted with future growth and extensibility in mind rather than focusing on short-term delivery. This provides a solid foundation for scaling and adding features as the project evolves. Looking ahead, there are plans to implement internationalization (i18n) and multi-language support to broaden the platform’s reach. The upcoming UX/UI overhaul aims to create a more polished and user-friendly experience. Additional features and experimental mechanics are also on the roadmap, alongside expanded integrations and more advanced analytics and customization options. Currently, the project is seeking feedback to improve its direction and design. Areas of particular interest include the architecture and data model decisions, feature prioritization, UX/UI strategy, and considerations related to scalability and security. Constructive and critical feedback is encouraged to help refine the platform. Furthermore, the project welcomes contributors and collaborators from various backgrounds, including backend and frontend developers, UI/UX designers, and engineers with expertise in security or system architecture. While experience level is flexible, the ability to reason systematically about complex systems and contribute effectively is highly valued.
