On the fifty-seventh day of the ongoing 2024 conflict, Hezbollah’s Military Media released new and detailed reports on the intensified operations carried out by its fighters against Israeli forces. As the Israeli offensive against Lebanon continues unabated, the Resistance stepped up both ground and cross-border attacks in a bid to defend Lebanese territory and inflict significant damage on enemy positions. These developments were documented as part of the "Formidable in Might" series, which serves to chronicle the war’s daily events while honoring the sacrifice and resilience of Hezbollah’s fighters.
On Monday, November 18, 2024, Hezbollah reported that its forces conducted a total of 28 military operations targeting Israeli settlements, military installations, barracks, and troop concentrations along the Lebanese-Palestinian border. Ground engagements included a guided missile strike on Israeli troops gathered inside the Shtula settlement, resulting in confirmed casualties. Additionally, Hezbollah fighters unleashed sustained rocket barrages against Israeli forces stationed near the towns of Khiam and Maroun al-Ras, with multiple hits verified.
The Resistance’s rocket units also launched heavy salvos targeting deep Israeli military bases and settlements in northern occupied Palestine. Key targets included the Shraga Base and the administrative headquarters of the Golani Brigade north of occupied Acre, as well as sites in the Krayot area north of Haifa. Other rockets landed on settlements such as Gornot HaGalil, Ma’alot-Tarshiha, Hosen, and Kerem Ben Zimra, further escalating the intensity of the conflict in these regions.
In a series of operations referred to as "Khaybar," Hezbollah combined advanced rocket fire with drone swarm attacks to strike high-value Israeli military positions far from the border. Notably, a complex assault was launched against the Tel Haim base, linked to Israeli Military Intelligence, located approximately 120 kilometers from Lebanon. Parallel drone strikes targeted the Regavim base, which hosts Golani Brigade training camps near Haifa, and other sensitive military sites within the occupied city of Tel Aviv. Additional drone swarms hit an Israeli military gathering west of the Lebanese town of Alma Al-Shaab and the newly established headquarters of the Israeli Western Brigade in the Ya’ra barracks in northern occupied Palestine.
Hezbollah’s air defense units also demonstrated effectiveness by shooting down an Israeli Hermes-450 drone over the Lebanese town of Taybeh using surface-to-air missile systems. Israeli media confirmed the heavy rocket barrages launched from southern Lebanon, reporting strikes across multiple northern settlements including Kiryat Shmona, Nahariya, Zar’it, Margaliot, and Shomera, causing numerous civilian injuries and fatalities. Rocket impacts in Tel Aviv were also reported, with injuries and at least one building directly hit, leading to multiple hospitalizations. Throughout the day, 23 air-raid sirens sounded across northern and central Israel.
Later on the same day, Hezbollah’s Military Media released footage showing Resistance fighters targeting the Sharga base, located between Nahariyya and Acre, underscoring the ongoing pressure Hezbollah continues to exert on Israeli military infrastructure. The evolving conflict dynamics reflect a growing sophistication in Hezbollah’s use of combined arms tactics, particularly the integration of drone warfare alongside traditional rocket and missile barrages.
