aquaWISE Introduction
What is aquaWISE?
aquaWISE is a single window platform for monitoring, prediction, planning and management of Water. Its technologies can create large scale Digital Twins of water resources and get analytics on the entire cycle of water i.e. from source to supply. Powered by advanced technologies such as Digital Twins, AI/ML, GIS etc aquaWISE supports a number of modules and products designed to serve a variety of water management use cases The modules include: · Water Resource Information & Management · Urban water planning · Watershed Planning & Management · Groundwater Monitoring · Dam Operations & Planning · Inflow Forecasting · Reservoir Optimization · Irrigation Decision Support · Waterbody Monitoring · Flood Management · Asset management · Grievance and request management · SLA monitoring · Dam monitoring and safety Benefits · Customizable and scalable solutions · Security and data privacy (container offerings and user access management) · Predictive and prescriptive data for decision support · Integrates with existing hardware and software . Container solution which also has SAAS alternatives A few key highlighted use cases include: 1.Water Resources Information and Management System for an entire state - WRIMS A comprehensive water management system designed to centralize water-related data, making it accessible in real-time to various stakeholders through a web-based GIS/MIS portal. The project provided visibility to water resources at the lowest granularity of administrative and hydrological levels Project Highlights: · 1800+ Automated Weather Stations · 100+ Reservoirs through Reservoir Level Sensors Inflow/outflow through mobile App · 1600+ Piezometers and Telemetry for Ground Water levels monitoring on Real-Time basis · 38,000+ Irrigation Tanks Geo-tagged leveraging Satellite data and AI to estimate water availability · 600+ Soil Moisture Sensors and Satellite and Hydrology Models · 14,00,000+ Geo-tagged Conservation Structures · 15+ dashboards including water balance, dynamic ground water, village level water budget, inflow forecast, remote sensing-based water estimation, crop water estimation, deficit water indent based on crop, advisories, automation of hydrology models etc. 2. Decision Support System for an entire basin The project aimed to develop a unified database platform integrating various data sources for real-time monitoring of reservoir levels, rainfall, and river discharge. It resulted in the creation of real-time visibility dashboards, a mobile app for crowd-sourced data collection, an inflow forecasting model for flood warnings, and a pump and reservoir operation model for optimizing release schedules in the Basin project. Project Highlights: · 1100+ Automated Weather Stations · 20+ Reservoirs through Reservoir Level Sensors · 70 river level monitoring sensors · 20 pumphouses with 90 pumps SCADA enabled to cloud · 22 flow monitoring sensors in irrigation water supply canals · Inflow/outflow through mobile App · 400+ Piezometers and Telemetry for Ground Water levels monitoring on Real-Time basis · 8,000+ Irrigation Tanks Geo-tagged leveraging Satellite data and AI to estimate water availability · 10+ Dashboards including integrated digital platform, water supply dashboards, inflow forecast, water demand, inflow forecast modelling, project impact and assessment, project wise dashboards, reservoir operations module etc. 3. Flood Early Warning System The Flood Early Warning System designed for the two basin in a coastal state in India. It outlines various components and features of the system, which include data preprocessing, hydrologic-hydraulic models, GIS-based algorithms, Digital Elevation Model (DEM), scalability, and hosting on a cloud infrastructure. The system is designed to integrate with existing national databases, scalable and hosting of new 3rd party tools or dashboards. The system also provides GIS and MIS views. Project Highlights: The Project included: · 115+ River Gauges · 55 Reservoirs · 39 Rainfall IMD Stations · 103 Rainfall SKYMET Stations · 11459 Irrigation Tanks · 891 Ground water Stations · 2875 Water Conservation Structures 4. Integrated Reservoir Operation and Water Accounting The project aimed to identify optimal operating rules for five major reservoirs in the basin, enabling the implementation of a real-time application for reservoir operation optimization. A crucial aspect of the project was also training the personnel involved in monitoring and maintenance of the system post deployment. Project Highlights: · 14 Major dam Operations optimization · 34537 MCM water Distribution optimization · 1.94-million-hectare area for irrigation For more information reach out to us at info@vassarlabs.com
