Waterlily is an ethical generative AI art platform that addresses key issues around attribution, consent, & revenue for creators in the digital space, recognising and rewarding them for their creative works while providing users with ethical image derivatives. It leverages the Filecoin Virtual Machine (FVM) for payments and on-chain transparency and Bacalhau for decentralised ML models and verifiable off-chain computation via Lilypad. Waterlily compensates original creators of artwork with micropayments whenever a user selects their style to create a new Stable Diffusion artwork from a prompt.
To use Waterlily, you need a Metamask wallet with at least 0.1 FIL. Connect your wallet on waterlily.ai, enter a text prompt, select an artist style, and click 'generate images'. The app sends the transaction through the blockchain, Bacalhau runs the model, and the results are displayed for download.
