I’d add that you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools, they have a bunch of fresh options that might surprise you.
Kinda depends what you mean by "best" though. Fast output? Accuracy? Language support? Each tool shines in different ways.
In my experience, Tabnine is great for autocomplete and small code snippets, but not for bigger chunks of code.
I've tried a few, but GPT-4 feels like the best mix of understanding and code quality. Plus it can explain stuff if you're stuck.
Honestly, I've been using Codex for a while and it blows my mind how quickly it spits out decent code. Not perfect but saves me loads of time.
