Hey everyone! I've been hunting for some good free tools that can help spot AI-generated content. Seems like there's a bunch out there but not sure which ones actually work well without costing a dime. Anyone got favorites or recommendations? Appreciate any tips!

Does anyone know if there’s any free AI content checker that works well with schools or education? Some teachers want to catch AI essays.
I tried a couple of free detectors and honestly, the accuracy varies a lot. Some flag normal writing as AI, which is kinda annoying.
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools. They usually have a good list updated regularly.
It's tricky because some writers use AI to assist but still add their flair, so detection gets fuzzy.
Does anyone know if these tools check for specific AI models or just general AI writing?
I’m curious if any open source AI detection tools exist that anyone’s played with? Free and customizable sounds ideal.
Sometimes I wonder if AI detection tools will ever be 100% reliable.
Sometimes I just run suspicious text through a few different free detectors to see if they all agree.
Been comparing a few tools for a project, and the free versions usually limit the number of checks sadly.
Tried one tool that said it found AI content in my own writing, which was frustrating cause it’s 100% me lol.
One free tool I liked was GPTZero, it’s pretty straightforward and doesn’t ask for too much.
Honestly, most free stuff I've tried gave me mixed results. If you want something reliable, might need to pay up or use multiple tools together.
Tried a couple like CopyLeaks and they do offer free versions but with limits.
If anyone's interested, I can share a list of the free AI detection tools I've tried so far.
I hope more companies release free AI content checkers, would help so many folks.
Pretty sure no free tool is perfect yet. AI writing gets more sophisticated so detectors gotta keep up too.
I use some browser extensions that check AI content on the fly. Mostly free and easy to use.
Found some free AI checkers that don't need sign up, which is nice to test quick stuff.
Free tools are great for casual use but for serious needs, paid ones might be worth it.
