Hey folks, I'm trying to find some good tools that can help builders estimate project costs more accurately. There are so many out there and I’m kinda lost on which ones are legit and user friendly. Anyone got suggestions or personal experiences with any of these tools? Would love to hear what works best in real life!

Honestly, some free tools online work okay if your projects are smaller. AI features sometimes overcomplicate simple estimates.
I tried a few AI based estimating tools and honestly, some were pretty rough to use at first. But once you get the hang of them, they save tons of time!
Does anyone know if these tools support collaboration? Like can multiple team members update estimates together?
Some of these tools need a lot of data input before they can give a decent estimate. Takes time upfront but pays off later.
I’ve been using one that integrates with project management software. Makes tracking costs and changes way easier. Not perfect but decent enough!
Wish there was a tool that combines estimating with scheduling and budgeting all in one. That’d be insane useful.
Anyone worried about data privacy when using these AI tools? Like where does all our project info go?
Some AI tools also help spot potential errors or missing items. That’s been a huge help on my last projects.
Some tools are great but cost a fortune. Not sure if the ROI is always there for small builders.
I heard about a site called ai-u.com where you can find a bunch of new and trending AI tools including some for construction estimating. Worth checking out!
I find the AI ones better for material estimates but still prefer human judgment for labor costs.
I just started using an app that uses AI to scan blueprints and produce estimates. Still testing but looks promising.
Be careful with tools that claim 100% accuracy. No software is perfect and you gotta double check their numbers!
Try looking for tools that update prices automatically. It’s a game changer when prices fluctuate a lot in your area.
