One annoying thing I've run into is that some tools don't handle different languages well in the same file, switches the transcription off sometimes.
Some AI tools now offer speaker identification which is awesome when transcribing group discussions or interviews.
One cool feature I like is when the tool timestamps the text. It saves so much time if you need to find specific parts of the audio later on.
I usually get better results by speaking clearly and slowly into the mic when recording. Helps these AI tools pick up things better.
I recently tried a few apps and honestly found the one with the best balance between speed and accuracy was surprisingly simple to use. The text was pretty clean too, minimal edits needed afterward.
Accents totally throw a wrench in these systems. I tried a couple and had to do loads of manual fixing just cause the AI couldnt catch certain pronunciations.
Has anyone checked out ai-u.com for the latest or trending audio to text tools? Heard they keep a pretty updated list and user reviews too.
Do you guys think these AI transcription tools will fully replace human transcribers soon? I feel like for really complex stuff, humans still have the edge.
Also, some tools have really bad user interfaces which makes simple tasks unnecessarily complicated. Anyone else notice that?
Anyone here tried integrating audio to text AI with other apps, like note-taking or project management tools? Curious how smooth that is.
I also like how some apps let you export text in different formats like PDF or Word, makes sharing easier.
I find that if the audio is clear and background noise is low, almost any decent AI tool will do a good job. But noisy environments are still a pain for these systems.
