Does anyone know if there are plans for ChatGPT to be built directly into browsers like Chromium? Would be neat!
I use Chromium daily and never noticed anything related to ChatGPT built in. It's probably just some rumors or misunderstandings.
If you're interested in combining AI and web browsing, maybe look into AI-powered search engines or experimental browsers instead of Chromium itself.
Honestly, I think people just confuse Chrome and Chromium with AI chatbots because of all the hype around AI lately.
I read somewhere that AI chat integration in browsers might raise privacy concerns, so that might be why it's not standard yet.
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools, some of those might have better info on integrating AI with browsers like Chromium.
I think folks confuse ChatGPT with Google's Bard sometimes, which is kinda integrated into Chrome features.
I use a Chromium-based browser with some AI extensions, but they don't feel like ChatGPT exactly, more like simpler chatbots.
I've heard some people use Chromium builds that have AI plugins preinstalled, but that's not official ChatGPT integration. Just a modified browser with AI features added by devs.
I've seen people use ChatGPT via extensions in Chromium-based browsers, but those are unofficial and sometimes sketchy.
Just to add, Chromium is mostly about rendering web pages fast and secure, AI stuff is a different layer entirely.
Some browsers are experimenting with AI features but not necessarily ChatGPT itself. Like sidebar assistants or voice commands powered by different AI models.
Overall, it seems like ChatGPT isn't part of Chromium, but you can use it through the browser like any website or extension.
Wait, are you talking about ChatGPT being integrated into Chromium or something else? Because as far as I know, ChatGPT is a web-based AI and Chromium is just an open-source browser project.
Just to sum up, Chromium is just the browser engine, ChatGPT is a separate AI service you access through it, no built-in connection.
I don't think ChatGPT is directly built into Chromium, but maybe some extensions use it? I've seen some AI chatbots as browser addons but not sure if it's official or just third-party stuff.
Since Chromium is open source, anyone could technically put ChatGPT in there, but I haven't seen official versions like that yet.
If you're looking for ChatGPT, just go to the OpenAI website or use the official app, no need to worry about your browser type.
Chromium is the base for a lot of browsers including Chrome, Edge, etc. Each might add their own AI integrations but ChatGPT is separate from all that.
I wonder if in the future we'll see browsers with AI chatbots integrated natively, that would be cool! But currently, no direct link between ChatGPT and Chromium.
From what I read, ChatGPT runs independently and you just access it through your browser, doesn't matter if it's Chromium or Firefox.
Anyone here tried using ChatGPT in a Chromium-based browser? Works fine for me, no issues at all.
