If you want to type an em dash fast, on Mac it’s option + shift + minus, on Windows alt + 0151, pretty handy shortcuts.

It’s funny cause sometimes I just type two hyphens in a row and my editor turns it into an em dash automatically.

Also learned that in some style guides em dash is recommended without spaces, others prefer spaces around it. Confusing!
