Some people overlook smaller niche tools that specialize in specific stuff like coding help or summarizing. They can be better than ChatGPT in that one thing.
Been messing with some voice-to-text AI tools too, some are free and surprisingly accurate. Not chatbots per se, but useful if you do dictation.
Anyone else tried Hugging Face's transformers? They offer free models that you can play around with if you don't mind some setup.
Is there anything free that’s really good at understanding context? That’s where I feel many alternatives fall short compared to ChatGPT.
I've used some open-source stuff like GPT-Neo; it's not quite as slick but pretty impressive considering it's free and community-driven.
Some of the lesser known tools are surprisingly powerful. I heard about you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools, might find something cool there.
I tried some free AI chatbots but many have limits or ads. ChatGPT feels smoother without all the interruptions.
There’s also AI Dungeon for storytelling which is free to start and has some neat AI-generated worlds! A fun alternative if you're into games.
Honestly, I thought nothing would come close to ChatGPT, but some tools like Google's Bard or Microsoft's AI are pretty neat and free for casual use.
I think it depends what you want. For creative writing, some tools beat ChatGPT in free tiers, but for general purpose chats, ChatGPT still shines.
