It’d be great if they had a status page showing when slowdowns are happening or maintenance is going on.
Sometimes it feels like the chatbot is overloaded with requests from all over the world at once.
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools that might be faster or have better uptime!
Sometimes I think the slowdowns make me appreciate the answers more, like good things take time!
I wonder if the location of servers affects the speed for different regions?
Sometimes it might be down to your internet too, not just ChatGPT's side. Worth checking your connection before blaming the bot!
I just hope the improvements keep coming, it’s already super helpful even with some lag.
Honestly, I think the hype just makes us notice the slowness more than we would otherwise.
Have you guys noticed it’s slower when you ask really detailed questions? Like it’s trying to think harder or something.
Is there any way to prioritize certain requests or pay for faster responses?
It varies a lot though, some days it’s super fast and others it feels like watching paint dry.
Yeah, it feels like peak hours really kill the speed. When loads of people jump online, the servers just get jammed up.
When ChatGPT slows down, I usually just step away and come back later. Patience is key here!
It’s also possible that the backend AI is getting more complex with updates, so more resources are used now.
I read somewhere that they sometimes update the system which can slow it down temporarily.
I think the model itself is just huge and complex, so processing queries takes some time no matter what.
I sometimes refresh the page or restart the app, and that helps speed things up a bit.
Sometimes I wonder if they throttle the speed to save resources or prevent overload.
