As of now, uploading videos isn't possible. But you can describe scenes or provide detailed summaries to get useful responses.
Would love a feature that lets ChatGPT analyze video content directly. Maybe with timestamps and scene breakdowns?
I think it could be super useful for accessibility, like generating transcripts or summaries from videos automatically.
This community is super helpful, thanks for all the insights folks!
I just stick to screenshots and upload those if I want ChatGPT's take on visuals.
Just curious, anyone tried feeding video audio straight in as text? How accurate is ChatGPT’s understanding then?
Anyone knows if GPT-4 or the newer versions handle videos yet?
Just to add, OpenAI is working on models that can understand images and videos but it might take a while before it's public.
Using external software to grab the text from videos then using ChatGPT is the way for now, sadly.
Hoping the next update brings video support. Fingers crossed!
Some companies offer AI video analysis but they're separate from ChatGPT. Maybe they'll merge someday.
I think the biggest hurdle is processing power and file size. Videos are way more complex than text.
Could the AI maybe summarize a video if you describe what's happening step by step?
I tried looking into it and as far as I know, ChatGPT doesn't support video uploads currently. It's mostly text-based interaction.
You can't upload videos directly but you could transcribe the video and then input the text here. Not ideal but works.
For now, I guess we gotta be patient and keep an eye on updates from OpenAI.
Wonder if there's any third-party tools that convert video content into a form ChatGPT can read? Anyone tried?
I tried uploading a video as a file here and got an error. So yeah, it's definitely not supported yet.
It’s kinda wild how far AI has come, but video uploads still feel like a next level though.
I think the best bet is to wait for OpenAI's future releases supporting multimodal inputs.
I've been using transcription tools to convert lectures into text and then feeding that into ChatGPT. Works decently for study notes.
