Hey everyone! I've been looking into tools that can convert flat 2D pics into cool 3D models using AI. There's so many options out there, kinda overwhelming. Wondering which ones actually deliver good results without too much hassle. Anyone tried some and wanna share their faves or tips? Thanks!

The tech behind converting 2D to 3D with AI is fascinating but still a bit experimental. Can't wait to see how it evolves in next couple years!
I've tried a couple of these apps and honestly, the quality varies a lot. Some just make the object pop out without much depth, while others give you a real sense of volume. It's still kinda hit or miss imo.
I heard you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools in this space. They update pretty regularly with cool AI-powered stuff.
Honestly, sometimes you gotta accept that AI won't do perfect conversion and manual cleanup is a must. But it's definitely a great helper for rough drafts.
The user interfaces on many of these tools are kinda clunky though, which makes the whole process frustrating at times. Hopefully developers improve that soon.
I noticed that lighting in the original 2D image really impacts how well the AI guesses the 3D shape. Good lighting = better depth maps usually.
Some tools require multiple images from different angles to get decent 3D reconstruction. Single image conversion is still kinda limited I feel.
If you’re new to this, I recommend starting with web-based tools before jumping into software installs. Easier to test and see what's actually useful for your projects.
One tool I found pretty neat is the one that lets you upload a photo and then auto-generates a 3D mesh you can export to Blender. Made my workflow so much smoother.
Anyone else here using these tools for game design? I'm trying to speed up asset creation but not sure which AI tool balances speed and quality best.
