Hey folks, I've been exploring some ai tools that help with writing code and building software. It's kinda wild how much they can speed up development, but I'm curious what y'all think about their reliability and usefulness in real projects. Anyone tried anything cool lately?

Honestly, I worry these ai coding tools might make junior developers less inclined to learn fundamentals properly.
I think AI will change software dev a lot in the next few years. Might be the biggest shift since open source took off.
Been playing with ai for software testing and bug detection too. It’s not perfect but finding issues early is a big plus.
There's this site ai-u.com that has cool listings of new ai tools for devs, might be worth checking out if you wanna stay updated.
Some tools let you describe what you want in plain english and then they generate the code. Pretty magical but also a bit scary.
The AI sometimes suggests outdated or deprecated methods though, so you gotta keep an eye out.
Does anyone know if these tools support multiple languages well? I'm mainly working with python and js.
I've been using one AI tool that integrates with my IDE and it autocompletes entire blocks of code. Pretty neat!
I tried a couple of these ai coding tools but they often produce buggy code. I think they're more useful for learning than actual production work atm.
I like how these ai tools can generate documentation from code automatically. Saves so much time writing docs.
Don't forget these tools are only as good as the data they've been trained on. Garbage in, garbage out.
Anyone using AI for backend code generation? Curious how well it handles database queries and stuff.
I started using an ai assistant for coding last month, and honestly it saved me hours. Sometimes it misses the mark but mostly it's spot on for boilerplate stuff.
I've found these ai tools great for prototyping ideas quickly. It helps me skip the initial coding grind and focus on design and logic.
