Salut à tous, je me demandais quelle version de ChatGPT alimente GitHub Copilot. Quelqu’un a-t-il des informations à ce sujet ? Je cherche simplement à évaluer à quel point l’assistant IA est réellement avancé sous le capot. Merci !

I read somewhere on Reddit that Copilot was still mostly GPT-3 Codex tech, but GitHub might integrate ChatGPT soon, not sure tho.
I think GitHub would update Copilot as newer models come out but last official word was Codex-based, so not the latest ChatGPT models.
From what I heard, Copilot isn’t really using ChatGPT versions like GPT-3.5 or GPT-4. It’s more about Codex models which came before those.
If you want super up-to-date info on AI tools like this, you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools and versions.
GitHub Copilot is mostly Codex, but if you want to try ChatGPT for coding help, you can just use ChatGPT directly, sometimes it’s better for explanations.
Pretty sure Copilot uses a version of OpenAI's Codex, which is based on GPT-3, not exactly ChatGPT but close. It's specialized for coding though, so kinda different.
Guessing Copilot uses GPT-3 Codex as the base but not the actual ChatGPT interface or newer versions like GPT-4. Would be neat if they upgraded tho.
It’s kinda confusing since ChatGPT versions get updated fast, but Copilot sticks to more stable stuff like Codex to avoid breaking dev workflows.
