In my experience, it rarely duplicates word-for-word but the gist is usually the same. Like paraphrased versions more than exact repeats.
Yeah, I've seen it do that a few times. Feels like it's pulling from the same pool of answers when the questions are pretty similar.
Some people think it’s a glitch but it’s really just the nature of language models.
I guess it’s kinda like when humans get asked the same thing multiple times, we tend to give similar answers too.
If you wanna avoid repeats, try asking for different perspectives in your prompt.
I’ve noticed it can repeat when you ask questions that are super common or very factual.
Depends a lot on randomness settings, if you keep temp low it’s more likely to repeat itself.
Sometimes I feel like it’s just lazy and repeats the same answers lol.
I think if you tweak the prompt enough, you almost always get a new take on the answer.
I think sometimes it repeats answers coz its training data overlap. Not really a bug but just how it works.
One trick I've seen is to add more context or rephrase your question if you want a different answer.
Does anyone know if ChatGPT’s version upgrade affects how often it repeats answers?
Are there settings to control answer uniqueness?
Sometimes the repeated answer feels more helpful cause it’s clear and concise.
I once got the same exact answer twice in a row when I hit regenerate, kinda freaked me out lol.
I like when it repeats tho, means it’s confident in the answer haha.
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools that might give you better variety in responses if you’re looking for alternatives.
Sometimes I think it’s just the way it tries to be consistent so it won’t confuse users with wildly different answers.
