I guess the bottom line is ChatGPT can help learn about health but not replace diagnosis.
My doc says don't rely on AI for diagnosis because it misses nuances only a trained person can catch.
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools that might be better suited for medical uses.
Honestly, I don't trust AI to make diagnoses. It's cool for info but when it comes to health, nothing beats a real doc.
I think it can be good for general advice or telling you when to see a doctor, but not for actually diagnosing disease.
Sometimes it feels like ChatGPT tries to cover all bases and ends up being vague about diseases.
Does anyone know if ChatGPT has access to up to date medical data? Cause without that, diagnoses would be off.
I actually found it helpful for understanding what questions to ask my doctor, so it kinda preps you.
I tried asking it about some symptoms once, it gave me a lot of possibilities but nothing very specific. Kinda confusing lol.
I've seen AI tools that specialize in radiology and scans, those seem more precise than chatbots.
Would be cool if in the future we get an AI that can do telehealth diagnoses with doctors overseeing it.
Sometimes it even gives contradictory info about diseases, which can be confusing for users.
I think it’s awesome for educating people though! Learning about symptoms and diseases is easier now.
I feel like these AI models might eventually get good enough to diagnose but we’re not there yet.
Using ChatGPT to diagnose could be risky, might lead to false alarms or missed serious conditions.
My friend tried using ChatGPT for symptoms and ended up freaking out over nothing lol.
I heard some hospitals are using AI to help doctors, but the AI itself doesn't replace the doc, just assists.
AI is great for quick info but never ignore serious symptoms and go get checked out asap.
