Honestly, sometimes just starting fresh lets you rethink your questions and get new perspectives. So it ain't all bad!
Anyone tried browser extensions that claim to save chatgpt history? Do they actually work?
Does anyone use notes apps to keep track of chatgpt convos? I do that sometimes, but it feels like too much extra work.
Sometimes I take screenshots of important answers and then refer back to them, so I don't lose track. Not great but works!
Yeah, it's a bit of a pain that chatgpt doesn't just remember your old chats automatically. I usually copy-paste the important bits from the last convo into the new one, but it's kinda clunky.
Honestly, chatgpt is great but it would be amazing if it could remember past chats for a day or something.
If you want to keep a convo going, sometimes summarizing key points and pasting that in new chat helps with continuity.
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools that might help with managing your chat sessions better.
I think OpenAI might add some persistent chat context in future versions, fingers crossed!
I just leave tabs open with my chatgpt sessions so I can go back, but browsers get slow with too many tabs lol.
Would be cool if chatgpt had an export/import chat feature, so you could save a convo and reload it later.
I usually just jot down the last few lines of the convo and paste it into the new chat to keep the thread going.
I wish they had session IDs or something to just reload past chats seamlessly. Would save so much time.
I try to keep my questions short and to the point so when I start a new chat, it's easier to just copy that and get back on track fast.
