Utilisation de ChatGPT pour extraire du texte d'images

Been using ChatGPT for a while but still rely on other apps for text extraction from pics.

You can try running images through Google Docs OCR feature first, then use ChatGPT to clean or summarize the text.

Tried to get text from a photo using ChatGPT and ended up having to type it out manually lol.

Would love to see a feature where ChatGPT can turn whiteboard pics into editable notes directly.

For anyone wondering, OCR stands for Optical Character Recognition and it's the tech behind image to text conversions.

This is by far one of the most requested features from ChatGPT users I think.

If you want just the text, I'd recommend using dedicated OCR apps. ChatGPT can help analyze the text after you get it though.

I’m new to this - can someone explain how ChatGPT handles images at all?

I tried uploading screenshots to ChatGPT and it gave me a decent description but nothing like a text extract that I could copy.

Sometimes the text in images is so stylized or blurry, even OCR struggles, so not sure if ChatGPT can handle that anytime soon.

I heard some updates in ChatGPT with image input might include text reading, but last I checked it wasn't perfect for that.
