I wouldn’t rely on these bots for therapy if you’re going through something serious. Better to find a licensed pro.
I've heard some people use bots between therapy sessions to keep track of moods and thoughts. That sounds useful at least.
I feel like these tools are more useful for mild anxiety or stress, not deep depression or trauma.

I got some good coping tips from an AI once, but I also got some weird off-topic answers too.
Honestly, I don't think AI can replace therapy. Human emotions are too complex, and bots miss the nuances.
ChatGPT got better over time tho. When I first tried it, it was pretty basic, but now it seems to get context better.
