Hertz Car Sales announced a strategic expansion of its digital retail presence by launching a dedicated showroom on eBay. Through this new partnership, shoppers gain access to more than 8,000 vehicle listings comprising Hertz Certified, near-new inventory typically one year old or newer.
The initiative positions eBay as a primary destination for the company’s retail growth strategy. Vehicles listed through the platform will be priced significantly less than buying new and are backed by eBay’s Secure Purchase feature. This integration supports seamless end-to-end transactions including payment, financing, registration, ownership transfer, transport, and up to $100,000 in Vehicle Purchase Protection.
Chris Berg, Executive Vice President of Global Fleet Management at Hertz, noted that establishing a presence on eBay gives access to millions of in-market shoppers on a trusted platform. The partnership supports a scalable retail model and reduces reliance on wholesale channels by putting certified inventory in front of more customers.
All vehicles undergo a rigorous 115-point inspection before being offered for sale. Buyers receive added confidence through a 12-month/12,000-mile limited warranty and a 7-day buy-back guarantee. This collaboration represents a milestone in building high-quality entry points into the purchase funnel across reputable third-party marketplaces.
