It’d be cool if AI tools started integrating real-time web access to read links directly.

From what I heard, ChatGPT can’t browse the web or access live sites unless connected to a specific plugin or version that supports browsing.

If you want to get info from web content, you gotta copy it in or use a tool that can scrape it for you first.

You can kinda trick it by describing what’s on the page or summarizing it yourself though.

Links just get treated like normal text unless you use special tools or extensions.

I think some newer versions or setups let you browse or connect to external data sources, but the plain ChatGPT doesn’t do it.

Sometimes it can guess what’s on a link if you describe it well, but it doesn’t actually see the page.

I think it’s mainly a privacy thing. Letting an AI just surf the web could open all sorts of problems.
