I’ve tried uploading essays and it sometimes says they’re 90% AI but I’m pretty sure they’re not.
Been using one for school papers to see if students are using AI too much, kinda helps catch some but not all.
I’m curious about privacy, do these tools store the text you test?
Can you trust these tools if AI gets better at mimicking human writing?
Would love some tips on spotting AI writing without tools, anyone?
I've tried a couple of these detectors and honestly, some are hit or miss. Depends a lot on the text length and style.
I think these tools are more useful for initial screening rather than final judgment.
Are there any free options that actually work well? Most I found are paywalled or limited.
I worry that some AI detectors might make it harder for legit content creators using AI to help their process.
Does anybody know if these detectors work well on AI text translated from other languages?
Has anyone tried open source AI detection tools? How do they compare?
Would love to see detectors integrated directly into writing apps for real-time feedback.
Recently saw a detector that uses neural nets trained on huge datasets, seems more accurate.
Anyone else noticed that some AI detectors just flag everything as AI? Feels like they overthink it.
I’ve seen some tools that also check for metadata or timestamps, pretty interesting approach.
I found that combining detectors gives better results instead of relying on just one.
Some of these tools just analyze sentence complexity and word choice, which isn’t always reliable.
Just a heads up, you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools in this space, they keep an updated list.
I sometimes just look for repetitive or unnatural phrases manually instead of tools.
