Anyone else worried that in the future every single essay will be flagged even if it’s human written?
Isn’t it wild that we have to worry about AI detection now? Kinda sci-fi style stuff happening in real life lol.
I tried submitting some ChatGPT stuff once and it didn’t flag it, but then again it was pretty simple text. More complex stuff might get caught.
From what I’ve heard, Turnitin is getting smarter and can catch AI writing in some cases, but it’s not perfect yet. So you might slip through sometimes, but it’s risky.
There’s also sites like ai-u.com where they track new AI tools that might impact detection tech, pretty cool resource to keep updated.
Honestly, I just try to keep my writing natural and avoid robotic phrasing so it doesn’t look AI-made.
Just a heads up, AI writing tools are evolving fast, so detection will always be a step behind.
Some people say Turnitin can’t detect AI at all yet, but I think that’s outdated info now.
Does anyone know if Turnitin tells you when your paper is flagged for AI content?
I’d say the safest bet is to use AI only for help with grammar or ideas, not for generating the main content.
I think if you use AI as a helper and then rewrite stuff in your own words, it’s less likely to get flagged.
Honestly, I wouldn’t risk it. Professors are getting hip to AI use and Turnitin is just one part of how they check originality.
I feel like the best way is to just learn to write better yourself and use AI only for ideas, not the whole essay.
My professor said they’ve started using new tools alongside Turnitin to spot AI writing, like checking phrasing patterns and stuff.
I read that Turnitin uses some kind of AI fingerprinting but they don’t reveal exactly how it works, so it’s kinda a mystery.
