I thought ChatGPT didn’t offer an archive feature? I mean, I see my old chats but not sure if they’re really saved or just recent sessions.

I tried to use the 'History' tab but sometimes chats just disappear for no reason.

You can also just bookmark the chat URL if you want to save a convo for later.

I wish there was a way to archive chats permanently inside ChatGPT rather than depending on history alone.

Sometimes I use screenshots to keep track of chat answers that matter.

Been using ChatGPT for months and never had to worry about archiving since history worked fine for me.

Yeah, it can be a bit confusing at first! Basically, you gotta click on your profile or menu where it says 'History'. That's where your past chats should pop up.

If you’re worried about privacy, you can always disable chat history in your settings.

Sometimes I open ChatGPT in incognito and then history obviously doesn’t save.

If you want to keep important convos safe, just copy paste them somewhere else. The built-in history isn’t foolproof.

I use the mobile app and the chat archive is a little different there. You gotta tap on the hamburger menu and then 'History' to see it.

Just a heads up, if you delete your account or clear chat history manually, the archive is gone for good.
