I find that some AI tools are still kinda rough around the edges. They do good at simple designs but struggle with very dense or multi-layer boards.
Is anyone here using AI tools integrated with simulation? Like, where the AI can predict electrical characteristics while you design? That would be insane for catching issues early.
I've tried a couple of AI-based tools recently and honestly, they save a ton of time for routing. The auto-router feature is a game changer especially for complex boards.
One thing I noticed is that some AI tools also suggest component placement based on signal integrity. It's pretty neat and helps improve the overall design quality.
Honestly, my go-to has been a classic design suite with some AI plugins added in, rather than a fully AI-driven tool. Gives me the best of both worlds.
