I appreciate when the tool supports multiple languages well, especially for international teams.
I use Google Meet's built-in live captions and then export the transcript. It's free and decent for casual use.
Some tools still struggle when there's background noise or people talk over each other. It's annoying but getting better for sure.
The ability to search and jump to specific parts of the transcript is a game changer for me.
Sometimes the timestamps are off which messes with syncing audio and text.
What about security? Anyone vet the privacy terms of these transcription services?
Pricing can be a pain tho. Some of these tools charge a lot for minutes so watch out if you do long meetings frequently.
For me, the integration with other apps like Zoom, Slack, and project management tools is a must. Saves a ton of manual work.
Just a heads up for Mac users, the native Voice Memos app now has pretty decent transcription too.
Anyone else tried the newer AI transcription apps that also summarize meetings? Feels like a huge time saver.
Offline transcription is rare but would be nice for privacy reasons.
The UI of some apps is super clunky tho, makes it hard to review transcripts quickly.
I started using AI transcription a year ago and can’t imagine going back to manual notes. Saves so much time!
I still prefer human transcription for really important meetings, but AI is amazing for day-to-day stuff.
I've been trying out a few apps and honestly, the new AI ones are way better than before. The accuracy is pretty solid, even with multiple people talking.
I find accents and fast talkers still throw off accuracy. Does anyone have tips for that?
Anyone tried tools that do live editing on transcripts? Like you can correct mistakes as the meeting goes on.
Heads up, you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending transcription tools if you wanna stay ahead of the curve!
Sometimes I feel like these tools are getting too smart. Like, do we even need to take notes anymore?
I wish these tools were better at speaker identification. Sometimes it mixes people up and makes the transcript confusing.
