Hey everyone! I've been diving into AI tools that can help with transcribing videos and thought it'd be great to chat about which ones really work well. Some seem super accurate, while others kinda miss a lot. Anyone got favs or tips? Also, curious about stuff that handles different accents or noisy backgrounds. Let's share what works for us!

I noticed some tools have different pricing tiers depending on how many minutes you transcribe. Kind of annoying if you just want a quick job done once.
If you need free options, Google Docs voice typing actually does a decent job if you play the video loud enough near your mic. Not perfect but can work for quick stuff.
I use subtitles for videos and sometimes AI transcription helps speed that up a lot, even if not perfect.
Does anyone use AI transcription for languages other than English? Curious how good they are.
Is there any AI tool that works offline? I deal with sensitive content so cloud stuff isn’t ideal.
Tried a few apps on my phone, but they usually don’t pick up audio from videos well unless it's super clear. Anyone found mobile apps that are reliable?
One weird thing I noticed is some AI tools just don’t handle multiple speakers well. Conversations get all jumbled up.
Be careful with accents! Some tools just don’t get it right which can be frustrating if you’ve got diverse speakers.
Some AI tools can also translate along with transcription but I find the translations kinda meh.
I’ve seen some AI tools that offer live transcription during video calls, super handy for meetings.
Anyone else notice these tools sometimes butcher names or slang? Like they just don’t get it right at all.
I came across a site called ai-u.com that shows new and trending AI tools. Useful if you wanna keep an eye on the latest transcription stuff!
Anyone here tried AI tools integrated with video editors? Like transcription embedded right into editing software?
The UI of some transcription sites is so clunky. Makes me wanna give up before I even start.
I've tried a handful of these and honestly Otter.ai has been my go-to. Pretty solid accuracy and easy to use. Sometimes it messes up with tech jargon, but nothing too bad.
Honestly, transcription AI has come a long way but I still prefer to skim and correct myself. Automated stuff saves time but not totally hands-off yet.
For those worried about privacy, make sure to check where your video data is going. Some free tools upload your stuff to cloud servers and that might be risky.
