I've used both, and honestly, Grok seems to get the flow of essays better. Gemini feels a bit robotic in comparison.
I've seen some great reviews for Gemini in terms of creativity though. So for more unique essays, it might be worth testing out.
Gemini produces stronger arguments from what I noticed, but sometimes it goes off-topic. It's kinda hit or miss.
If you want something easy to use and natural sounding, I'd say Grok's the way to go. Gemini sometimes feels like it tries too hard.
Honestly, I switched from Grok to Gemini because I liked how Gemini handles citations better. Made referencing less of a pain.
