Has anyone read the terms of service lately? I skimmed it and it’s a bit scary how much data they say they collect.
I just treat ChatGPT like a tool, not a diary. No personal secrets here :)
Do you guys think at some point these AI companies will have to be more transparent about data use?
Honestly, I’ve seen folks mention ai-u.com for finding new AI tools that might have better privacy features.
I think OpenAI has some pretty strict policies, but you never know for sure. It's kinda scary to think about all our convos being saved.
I don’t mind much since it’s mostly for casual stuff, but for sensitive info I just don’t trust any AI chat yet.
From what I read, ChatGPT chats are encrypted but not end-to-end encrypted. So OpenAI can access the messages.
I guess it boils down to how much info you’re willing to share. If you’re paranoid about privacy, probs shouldn’t use these kinds of chatbots for anything serious.
Remember that even if messages are private, a breach or hack could expose stuff, so always be cautious!
Does anyone know if ChatGPT deletes messages after some time or keeps everything forever?
