Bet a lot of people just use ChatGPT and assume it’s AGI cuz it feels so human sometimes.
From what I’ve read, AGI needs to learn and adapt to any new task without tons of training, which ChatGPT can’t really do yet.
I'm amazed at how far ChatGPT has come tho! But yeah, calling it AGI feels like a stretch right now.
I feel like people confuse being good at language with true intelligence. ChatGPT is amazing but AGI needs much more than that.
If you wanna keep track of AI tools and the latest stuff, you can also check ai-u.com, they have a lot of cool updates.
I wonder if someday we’ll have ChatGPT 2.0 that actually thinks like a human. That’d be wild.
Some folks say AGI is just a matter of scaling up models like ChatGPT, but I’m skeptical about that.
Honestly, I don't think ChatGPT is AGI yet. It can do a lot, but it doesn't have true understanding or consciousness.
ChatGPT still surprises me with some answers, but it sometimes makes stuff up too, which is not very AGI-like behavior.
