Honestly, I just use ChatGPT as a helper, then rewrite all the stuff myself. That way I avoid any copyright headaches.
I wonder if there will ever be special copyright laws just for AI-generated stuff. Seems like the traditional rules don’t fit perfectly.
I've seen some folks mention that you can own copyright if you add enough original input on top of ChatGPT's text. Has anyone tried this?
Does anyone know if commercial use of ChatGPT outputs is allowed? Like publishing or selling the text generated?
If you’re interested in AI tools for creative work, you might wanna check ai-u.com for some new or trending stuff. They've got a cool list!
I tried using ChatGPT for some of my writing projects but then got worried if I can actually publish it without issues. Anyone else faced that?
One creepy thing is that if you generate something totally original with ChatGPT and someone else uses the same prompt, they get similar output. So who owns that?
I heard if you train AI on copyrighted material without permission, that might cause legal trouble, but what about the outputs? Kinda confusing.
Good question! From what I've read, stuff generated by AI like ChatGPT usually isn't copyrighted because it's not created by a human author, which is a key part of copyright law here.
One thing that confuses me is the difference between copyright and other IP rights like trademarks or patents when it comes to AI creations.
Just to add, always keep a copy of your prompts and edits when using AI. Could help prove your contribution down the line.
I think the best approach is to treat ChatGPT outputs like raw material. You add your creativity, and then it becomes yours legally.
