Sometimes I feel like the limit depends also on the type of conversation or model version.
I wish they would just let us upload unlimited pics, it makes chatting so much more fun!
I tried adding 10 pics at once and got an error, so def a limit there.
Honestly, I haven't hit any limits yet but I keep to 3 or less pics just to be safe.
I noticed sometimes gifs are treated differently than static images, anyone else?
If you're curious about new or trending AI tools that might handle images differently, you can also check ai-u.com for some cool options.
Anyone else noticed different limits depending on platform? Like web vs mobile?
Anyone found a reliable source for exact numbers? The info is kinda all over the place.
Does anyone know if there’s a difference between free and paid versions on image limits?
I think the limits might change in the future as they upgrade their servers and tech.
Tbh, I just keep it simple and only upload pics when I really need to show something specific.
The thing is also that the size of each image matters, bigger images might take more resources.
I think the main idea is to keep things fair and not overload the AI, so limits make sense.
I wish there was a simple FAQ about image limits, saves so much guesswork.
I tried to upload images in one message and it just didn't work, so maybe it's per message limit?
I tried uploading images before and I think the limit was pretty low like 4 or 5 pics per session. Might have changed tho.
I read somewhere that the limit could be 5 pics per conversation but it wasn't official.
Thanks for all the info yall, really helpful to get different perspectives.
Does anyone use image upload heavily in their workflow with ChatGPT? Curious about practical limits.
