The tech is evolving fast tho, maybe future versions of ChatGPT or similar models will handle images better.
I think ChatGPT mainly deals with text, so not sure if it can actually extend images itself. You might wanna look at other AI tools designed for image manipulation.
I use a combination of text prompts from ChatGPT and then feed them into an image AI — works pretty good for creative projects.
Actually, some AI models can extend images by generating the missing parts, but ChatGPT isn't really built for that kind of task.
You can try some AI image outpainting tools instead. They take an image and generate new content around it. ChatGPT is cool but not for images.
I tried asking ChatGPT to help me extend an image but it just gave me text descriptions, no actual image output.
Not really, ChatGPT focuses on generating text but you could use it to generate prompts for an image editing AI.
Don't forget some apps combine chat-based AI and image editing, but ChatGPT alone doesn't extend images currently.
Some people confuse ChatGPT with multimodal AIs but as of now, ChatGPT can't really generate or extend images.
