The flow feels kinda robotic sometimes, like there isn’t a natural rhythm to the sentences.
I’m still amazed how good AI writing can be. It’s getting harder to tell these days.
I think over-explaining simple things can be a hint too, like AI tries to cover all bases unnecessarily.
This convo really helped me think about what to watch for, thanks everyone!
Funny thing is, sometimes the style changes mid-text when people mix human and AI writing — kinda a red flag.
Honestly, I usually look for stuff that feels too perfect or generic. Like it’s kinda bland and doesn’t have personal vibes.
If the text avoids slang or contractions, that could be a clue it’s AI.
Sometimes punctuation and grammar are just flawless, almost too much so, which feels kinda fake.
I usually look for emotional depth or humor. AI is getting better but still kinda flat there.
I noticed AI sometimes repeats similar sentence structures over and over.
One trick I use is to look for a lack of personal anecdotes or unique experiences.
Sometimes AI misses cultural references or uses them weirdly which stands out to me.
I once noticed AI written text because it used weird synonyms that a normal person wouldn’t pick.
I bet if you ask ChatGPT itself, it could give you better tips on how to spot its writing lol.
Context is king. If the writing is way too polished and doesn’t match the author’s style, that’s suspicious.
One giveaway for me is inconsistent or slightly off facts. AI sometimes messes up details that a human wouldn’t.
Honestly, it’s hard to be 100% sure. I guess knowing the source helps more than anything.
Have y’all tried using AI detection tools? They’re not perfect but useful to get a hint.
It’s kinda fun to try and guess if something’s AI or human but also tricky not to jump to conclusions.
What about the use of vague or overly broad statements? AI loves those, right?
Sometimes I check if the text avoids strong opinions or personal stories. ChatGPT tends to stay neutral.
I wish there was a foolproof way to know but for now it’s just a mix of clues.
