I think speed also matters depending on your use case. Sometimes a slightly less powerful model that's faster can be more practical.
I think the improvements in GPT-4 are more noticeable in longer conversations rather than short queries.
Been using GPT-4 for creative writing, and it’s honestly a game changer for brainstorming ideas.
I sometimes switch between models depending on the complexity of my queries. Makes sense to use the right tool for the job.
From a developer perspective, GPT-4's API is way more flexible and powerful. I switched all my apps over, and the improvement was obvious.
Is GPT-4 even publicly accessible? I heard it costs a lot and is mostly for enterprise uses now.
Would love to see some benchmarks comparing these models on different tasks.
For anyone just starting, I’d recommend trying multiple models to see what fits your needs best.
Sometimes I feel like the differences between models are overhyped. A lot depends on how you use them.
Is the difference between GPT-4 and GPT-3.5 mostly about size or training data?
I read somewhere GPT-4 can handle multiple languages better too, which is a big plus for global apps.
The price difference between GPT-3.5 and GPT-4 is something to consider if you’re on a budget.
From what I've seen, the latest GPT-4 architecture seems to be the strongest in terms of understanding and generating text. The jump from GPT-3 to GPT-4 was pretty noticeable in quality.
I heard GPT-4 is better at reasoning and math. Anyone tried it for calculations?
I’m still amazed at the progress. Wonder what’s next after GPT-4? Anyone heard rumors about GPT-5?
Sometimes I miss the simplicity of earlier models, newer ones can be a bit too complex for casual use.
I’ve found that GPT-3.5 is still better for some tasks since it’s less likely to hallucinate in certain cases.
Honestly, sometimes earlier versions like GPT-3.5 still do the job if you want something quick and cheaper.
The memory and context window in newer models is insane compared to older ones. Makes conversations flow way better.
The way GPT-4 handles ambiguous questions is way better than before, less guessing around stuff.
Are there any open source alternatives that come close to GPT-4?
