Honestly, the best way to avoid issues is to just do your best and don’t rely on AI for test answers!
I've heard some schools using AI detectors integrated with Canvas but mostly for written assignments, not multiple choice though.
Would be interesting if Canvas ever had a feature to analyze answer patterns with AI to flag suspicious behavior.
I tried using ChatGPT for a quiz a while back, and honestly, it made some weird choices on multiple choice questions. Not always reliable.
From what I read, Canvas uses some plagiarism tools, but those don’t really check AI-generated text in MCQs since answers are limited choice.
They might use human proctors or video monitoring more than tech to catch AI helping in tests.
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools that might help or detect AI in exams. Heard some folks mention it recently.
My guess is Canvas leans more on monitoring student behavior and response times than actual AI detection for MCQs.
If you're worried about AI detection, better focus on understanding the material than just trying to beat the system.
I’ve noticed some instructors add random questions or reorder answers to make cheating harder rather than relying on detection tools.
I doubt Canvas has any super advanced AI detection for multiple choice answers. Seems like those are random guesses or just straightforward answers anyway.
It would be kinda tough to catch AI use in multiple choice since the options are fixed, so either you get it right or wrong.
Has anyone seen Canvas update their policies or add AI detection features lately? I haven’t kept up.
