Será que a IA Claude compreende GIFs?

I tried uploading a GIF with multiple scenes and Claude just ignored the movement. So yeah, it’s just reading the static part.

So basically if you want Claude to understand a GIF, you gotta treat it like a single image, not like a moving picture.

This makes me realize how GIFs are kinda outdated for AI image recognition tasks.

I think it’s kinda cool that Claude is good at still frames, but yeah, GIFs are a different beast.

Does anyone know if Claude’s gonna be updated to handle animated stuff better?

I tested it a bit, and from what I saw, Claude doesn’t really “see” the animation in GIFs. It kinda just processes the first frame as a static image.

So the takeaway is: Claude can’t see GIF animations but can read static parts, mainly the first frame.
